The Leadership Reality

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that, as leaders, we must grow and mature in our thinking, discernment and decision making processes as we are in a season where situations, circumstances and challenges require a deeper level of thinking, understanding and supernatural faith.

We must recognize the moment that we are in and rise to the challenge because the lives and welfare of those we love or the things we care about are at risk.

Having the emotional and spiritual maturity, the spiritual eyes to see, and the strength and fortitude to take action is and will be the measure of our success.

The scripture warns us to:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8 KJV‬‬

But

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

OMG!

Mature thinking begins when we declare God’s word:

“(for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: Which keepeth truth for ever:”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭146‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“…Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not your’s, but God’s.”

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.”

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Thank you Lord!

Next, let us cast our cares onto the Lord and pursue aggressively the mind of Christ:

“casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you:”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ KJV‬‬

“For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. [Is 40:13]”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

However, when we find ourselves needing to attack certain strongholds, let us heed the Bible instructions on steps we should take:

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17‬:‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”

‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In conclusion, maturity determines and resolves that our only hope is in Christ.

As a result, I declare and decree that we, the leaders, will do the following:

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Truly my soul waiteth upon God: From him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭62‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭105‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“…Thy face, LORD, will I seek.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭27‬:‭8‬B KJV‬‬

“Let Israel hope in the LORD From henceforth and for ever.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭131‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In Jesus Name. Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God].

And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Uncomfortable Growth

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that our leadership  growth can be uncomfortable as we are elevated to higher and higher levels.

The Bible tells us that:

“A man’s gift maketh room for him, And bringeth him before great men.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

We see with Moses that elevation can cause us to experience moments of doubt, feelings of inadequacy, concerns about protocols and to question our communication effectiveness.

In short, there are instant demands to refine our thinking, decision making and conversation that, when mastered , will position us to make a greater impact for the Kingdom.

Scripture comforts us and reassure us that we belong in the room by saying:

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: For the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified [declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity].”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭30‬ ‭AMP‬‬

““If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the best of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you.

Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. [Deut 4:29, 30]”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬-‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank you Lord!

We, the leaders, must focus on our learning new disciplines, hearing from the Holy Spirit to read the room and communicating in a calm, crisp and concise manner – starting with the big picture followed by a few bullet points.

Our goal is to always ensure that the message is clearly understood including identified gaps and required trade offs for success- always providing wise council with yes and amen.

In conclusion, when we arrive, we must be prepared (mentally), prepared (emotionally) and prepared (spiritually) as we represent the king of kings and the lord of lords!

We simply need to:

“Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

And

“If you promised God that you would be loyal to the king, I advise you to keep that promise. Don’t quickly oppose the king or argue when he has already made up his mind. The king’s word is law. No one can ask him, “Why are you doing this?””

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭8‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭CEV‬‬

When we do, these things, we know we can rest in peace.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?

And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬-‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Silent Authority

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the thought of how vital it is that we, the leaders, understand and acknowledge the authority we bring to the table as we are executing our purpose and missions.

Silent authority (meekness) in the natural may appear as if we are subservient; however, while others may misjudge and attempt to brashly excerpt their authority,  we must be wise, steady and execute our mission with precision, wisdom, grace and excellence – allowing the Christ in us to be magnified and honored when we work unto the Him.

We know with confident trust that our results are achieved in our prayer closets and when we fast – silencing the noise to receive our “right now” word from God.

During our times of quiet reflection, the Lord will reveal to us a strategy, plan and solution that is beyond the comprehension of the finest institutions and thinkers:

“In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the [learned] magicians and enchanters (Magi) in his whole realm.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

Daniel’s silent authority leadership example is captured in scripture which says:

“Daniel answered the king and said, “Regarding the mystery about which the king has inquired, neither the wise men, enchanters, magicians, nor astrologers are able to answer the king,

but there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days (end of days).

This was your dream and the vision [that appeared] in your mind while on your bed.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭2‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank you Lord!

Now others may try to dismiss, scorn or shame us like the Pharisee-because of our backgrounds. We see such  examples in the scriptures below:

“Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were sneering and ridiculing Him.

So He said to them, “You are the ones who declare yourselves just and upright in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts [your thoughts, your desires, your secrets]; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God. [1 Sam 16:7; Prov 21:2]”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭16‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“When Jesus reached the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So Zaccheus hurried and came down, and welcomed Jesus with joy.

When the people saw it, they all began muttering [in discontent], “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a [notorious] sinner.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Our response to all those sneers and shame  is, “But God”, as we know that all of this condemnation becomes naught when Christ shows up!

His heavenly knowledge has no end and is available only to us who know and follow Him.

The Bible describes it this way:

“He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

In conclusion, let us be reminded to walk in love, strive to have the mind of Christ and  realize that it is the Christ in us that has given us the authority to have dominion over the earth, in Jesus name.

Let us leverage this authority with precision, and purpose so that all powers and principalities that try and come against us are subdued and placed under our feet.

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭56‬-‭58‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We have the victory in Christ.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will immediately provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

How then will the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen this way?””

Living the Exception Life

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scripture today with a grieved heart because we, the leaders, can become deceived in our hearts as we live in a world that is fascinated by “shiny objects” and focuses on what we “don’t have” vs appreciating and valuing the abundance of blessings and provisions that we “do have”.

This spirit of discontent can creep into how we see ourselves, how we show up in our families, how we show up at work, how we show up in our relationships and how we show up within our church or community.

Often our dissatisfaction stems from our choosing to set our eyes and focus on that which is temperal vs what is eternal, everlasting, loving and true.

We must be open to “hear” when we have gotten off track and are wrong – receiving the feedback from those who love us and speak hard truths into our lives.

The Bible says it this way:

“Hear counsel, and receive instruction, That thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us,

[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. [Ps 110:1]”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Selah

Our ability to hear, recognize and receive wise counsel from those who love us and desire the best for us may create safe guardrails that could prevent us from making and living with bad decisions.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

that thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

As achievers and leaders, there is nothing wrong with wanting “more”; however, the tricks of the enemy could deceive us if we don’t purposefully make time to be thankful and mindful of what “we do have” right now!

We have the abundant life of rest, peace, joy and contentment – right now, if we have the eyes to see it!

Scripture reminds us:

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates]. He says to you, “Eat and drink,” Yet his heart is not with you [but it is begrudging the cost].”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23‬:‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Yet, “… all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What we focus on can and will grip our hearts and our minds if we are not careful to guard our hearts.

This is true whether we focus on “what we don’t have” versus the overwhelming majority and abundance of what “we do have”.  We must not let the enemy steal our joy when we are sitting in the fields of abundance!

We are not deficient or incomplete in any way!

We have all sufficiency in all things in Christ:

“And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We are joint heirs of the promises in Christ:

“[it is this:] that the Gentiles are now joint heirs [with the Jews] and members of the same body, and joint partakers [sharing] in the [same divine] promise in Christ Jesus through [their faith in] the good news [of salvation].”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In closing, when we are tempted to be distracted and to focus on the “Exceptions of Life”, my prayer is that we pause, reflect and take action on this Word:

“Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in.

Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in.

Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

He has already prepared the table before us and his blessings overtake us day by day.

In Jesus Name, Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“So the Lord God took the man [He had made] and settled him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may freely (unconditionally) eat [the fruit] from every tree of the garden;

but [only] from the tree of the knowledge (recognition) of good and evil you shall not eat, otherwise on the day that you eat from it, you shall most certainly die [because of your disobedience].””

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

So There Was a Difference of Opinion

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the idea that great change often creates controversy and confusion.

During these times, we, the leaders, must be steadfast, immovable and grounded in the truth of Gods word.

We may experience contrarian voices of opinion trying to redirect, divert or stop our momentum.

We may even find those closest to us try and isolate us taking defensive postures out of fear – leaving us as prey amongst wolves.

BUT GOD!

Scripture says:

“Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

I am grateful that the God we serve is faithful, just and true. He has given us authority to tread on serpents while also commanding us to walk in love and pray for those who persecute us:

“Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Thank you Lord!

As we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and be careful to “hear” and “do” all we are told to do.

The Lord will grant us spiritual eyes to see how He is turning things around for our good if we just trust Him:

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.”

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“(for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen!

In conclusion, let us follow the example of the healed blind man below and be reminded to always stand on the side of truth – declaring the many good things that the Lord has done as our testimony!

In standing on truth, we recognize that the battle is not ours and bring every principality in subjection under Christ:

“He said, “Listen carefully, all [you people of] Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat. The Lord says this to you: ‘Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For He (the Father) has put all things in subjection under His (Christ’s) feet. But when He says, “All things have been put in subjection [under Christ],” it is clear that He (the Father) who put all things in subjection to Him (Christ) is excepted [since the Father is not in subjection to His own Son]. [Ps 8:6]”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling or falling into sin, and to present you unblemished [blameless and faultless] in the presence of His glory with triumphant joy and unspeakable delight, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”

‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Then they brought the man who was formerly blind to the Pharisees.

Now it was on a Sabbath day that Jesus made the mud and opened the man’s eyes.

So the Pharisees asked him again how he received his sight. And he said to them, “He smeared mud on my eyes, and I washed, and now I see.”

Then some of the Pharisees said, “This Man [Jesus] is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a man who is a sinner (a non-observant Jew) do such signs and miracles?” So there was a difference of opinion among them.

Accordingly they said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him, since He opened your eyes?” And he said, “[It must be that] He is a prophet!”

However, the Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they called the man’s parents.

They asked them, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? Then how does he now see?”

His parents answered, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; but as to how he now sees, we do not know; or who has opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him [and stop asking us]; he is of age, he will speak for himself and give his own account of it.”

His parents said this because they were afraid of [the leaders of] the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone acknowledged Jesus to be the Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue (excommunicated).

Because of this his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”

So a second time they called the man who had been [born] blind, and said to him, “Give God glory and praise [for your sight]! We know this Man [Jesus] is a sinner [separated from God].”

Then he answered, “I do not know whether He is a sinner [separated from God]; but one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.””

What Does the Lord Require

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and my heart was pondering the question of “What’s next?” – for this next season of life.

We, the leaders and servants of the Lord, are on this journey learning how to heal from the inside out with the goal to mature into the place where we have all sufficiency in all things and are self sufficient in Him (Christ) needing no aide or support!

What a wonderful journey and goal.

Scripture encourages us by saying:

“And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

On this journey we experience many starts and stops; and many ups and downs which may cause us to ask the question in our hearts, “What’s Next Lord?”

Yes … our foundations are still sure and grounded in Christ but we sometimes need a refresher, reassurance, guidance or a reset- where we lift our eyes and hands to heaven for answers.

When we arrive at this moment, we have some scriptures we can learn of, lean on and trust/do:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being].”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6‬:‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.””

‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; So shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

As we soak in His presence, we can ask Him:

“Who may ascend onto the mountain of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart,

Who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully. [Matt 5:8] He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

This is the generation (description) of those who diligently seek Him and require Him as their greatest need, Who seek Your face, even [as did] Jacob. [Ps 42:1] Selah.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭51‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭27‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Glory be to God!

In conclusion, let us be encouraged as it is my prayer and sincere desire that we soak in the presence of the Holy Spirit today until we receive our breakthrough and His peace becomes real to us – for that is our portion, in Jesus Name.

The Bible says:

“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.

Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind.

You shall teach them diligently to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.

And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand (forearm), and they shall be used as bands (frontals, frontlets) on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. [Rom 14:10]”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In Jesus Name, Amen and it is so!

Be Blessed!

“With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Emotional Bankruptcy

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scripture this morning and the thought of how do we, as leaders, cope when we feel like we are emotionally bankrupt?

Emotional bankruptcy can surface in many forms:

  • Our calling may start to feel like a weight
  • Our assignment may start to feel like a job
  • Our mission success has unleashed an abundance of waggling tongues
  • Our battle has endured longer than anticipated

Emotional bankruptcy is almost a taboo subject as we, the leaders, are always to watch and pray – being vigilant to put on the whole armor of God.

Yet….we see a real life biblical example, in  Elijah, a successful leader that experienced this tender moment and how God responded- giving us hope and guidance.

The good news is that feeling drained is not a sign of failure but a signal for us to rely on God for strength.

Selah

Also, as long as our why (the desire to serve Christ) is still present, there is hope! The work that remains is to recover from our emotional pains. The scripture shows us the way as we embrace the Word:

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, When my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭61‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Amen

We see in the Bible where Elijah has reached a place of emotional exhaustion, despair, and depression.

We also see Gods love in action as He sent an angel to minister to Elijah (Heb 1:14): demonstrating compassion , providing rest and sustenance rather than a rebuke.

Scripture describes it this way:

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Divine strength stands in the gap when personal strength fails. The Bible say it this way:

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Thank you Lord!

In closing, let us be reminded that He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies ( Psalms 23:5) and we shall declare that:

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭29‬-‭31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.

And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.

And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.”

Peace I Leave; My Peace I Give

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the idea that when it comes to peace, there appears to be atleast two possible levels: the peace level that is “left” with us and the Christ level that is given to us – if we receive it!

The Bible encourages us to always choose the more excellent way:

“But earnestly desire and strive for the greater gifts [if acquiring them is going to be your goal]. And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one of the choicest graces and the highest of them all: unselfish love].”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭31‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank you Lord!!

We, the leaders, must become and live the Word and pursue peace with all men!

Though we see many  nations orchestrate peace accords, which are based on trust and honor, the success of those agreements are dependent on the sustained commitment of the involved nations.

However, the Bible tells us that the heart of man is evil continuously which can cause agreements to be broken:

“The Lord saw that the wickedness (depravity) of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination or intent of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6‬:‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“The heart is deceitful above all things And it is extremely sick; Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives? [Matt 13:15-17; Mark 7:21-23; Eph 4:20-24]”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

But thank God for Jesus!

The higher level of peace is found in the passage where Jesus calls it “my peace”.

That is a peace that is incorruptible and everlasting – it reigns and holds true at all times and provides an inner strength, fortitude and authority which empowers us, the believers!

The Bible describes it this way:

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is the peace that Christ himself gives to us.  We just need to receive it today!

So, how do we not neglect so great a salvation?

“The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].”

“If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him.

But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭21‬, ‭23‬, ‭26‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

In closing, Lord we thank you for reviving our hearts and souls and teaching us how to have the mind of Christ. You say in your Holy Word:

“Wilt thou not revive us again: That thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, And grant us thy salvation.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭85‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. [Is 40:13]”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

A Good Man Leaves an Inheritance

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the thought of what type of inheritance or legacy should we, the leaders, strive to leave.

So what is an inheritance?

Marian- Webster defines inheritance as:

“something received from past generations (property, traits, etc.), the act of receiving it (legally or genetically), or the genetic transmission of qualities from parent to offspring, encompassing material possessions, intangible characteristics, and biological traits”

Selah

Part of the leadership development process is realizing that lasting skills are learned through observation, versus class training.

So as leaders we must ensure that our legacy is built on biblical principles of truth, integrity, and righteousness.

By being leaders of character we demonstrate the behaviors that we want to see emulated and scaled throughout our families our businesses and our communities – whether small or large.

Who we are speaks volumes about whether we are truly a follower of Christ or merely an observer of Christ.

Selah

We, the leaders, must also be judicious about who we choose to follow as there are many who desire to lead, but are not equipped to do so. Then we have others who are equipped to lead, but lack character.

The most successful leaders are those who are equipped to lead and have unshakable character that’s based out of righteousness.

Our using Jesus as our example, we can press beyond talking the talk and progress towards walking the walk – demonstrating godly leadership in good times and tough times. This type of leadership thrives both in and out of season.

By learning and studying the Word of God, we face the lens of righteousness daily which reminds us that we are on a journey.

If we error, we can make corrections under Gods grace as He looks at our heart and our motives and His grace is sufficient:

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.””

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭16‬:‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

No matter where we start, we have a responsibility to continually grow and to improve daily being diligent to let no sin or weight cause us to stumble- causing others to error. The Bible says it this way:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us,”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Thank you Lord!

In closing, no matter our circumstances, let us demonstrate the importance of prayer, love, service, understanding, patience, kindness, and joy in our lives.

These foundational character traits, plus righteousness will cause others to want to follow Christ the Light of the World and see the manifestation of God‘s glory in their lives.

That outcome is the best inheritance we can  ever leave!

In Jesus name, amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for [the hands of] the righteous.”

Well Done

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the reality that we, the leaders, need to create moments for recognition, celebration and recovery as we experience/ achieve milestones in life  – with an urgency of now!

For achievement oriented leaders, setting  time to celebrate and savor the milestones may feel uncomfortable, counterproductive, inefficient or even futile; however, these precious moments can provide lasting shared experiences – helping a team or family build bonds based on collective memories.

Scripture gives us the example of how God celebrates:

“Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Selah

A byproduct of the celebration is the satisfaction that we have done our best work, our efforts were meaningful and we made a difference in the lives of others!

The Bible reminds us that we should strive to do our best as into the Lord:

“Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭AMP‬‬

When we do our best, good times can be remembered, challenges can be viewed through the lens of continuous improvement and every contributor can know, see and tell how they impacted the success of the unit.

Amen

In closing, it is my prayer that we, the leaders, cherish and celebrate TODAY and live TODAY a life that is pleasing in Gods eyes.

By doing so, we position ourselves for TOMORROW to hear the Lord say “Well Done”!

Scripture says it this way:

“Come now [and pay attention to this], you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and carry on our business and make a profit.”

Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen in your life tomorrow. [What is secure in your life?] You are merely a vapor [like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam from a cooking pot] that is visible for a little while and then vanishes [into thin air].”

‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“His Lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It is so, in Jesus Name.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

““The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬
