For God is With Us (Immanuel)

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reading this morning and reflecting on the simple but powerful thought – “for God is with us”. This means we are never alone.

So simple!

So powerful!

So marvelous!

So reassuring!

As leaders, we prepare for and train to lead our teams and families through the battles of life.

Our spirits can be encouraged when we read in the scriptures that God always causes us to triumph:

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which ascends] to God, [discernible both] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The Bible also tells us that the steps of a good man are  ordered by the Lord and the path is blessed:

“The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].

When he falls, he will not be hurled down, Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand and sustains him.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Though afflictions and adversity will come, God is still with us:

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.””

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

In closing, it is my prayer that we will continue to rest in the confidence that Immanuel is always with us:

“For our fathers did not possess the land [of Canaan] by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, Because You favored and delighted in them.”  Psalms‬ ‭44‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“….for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” [Josh 1:5]”. Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭5‬B AMP‬‬

Thank you Lord! You are so worthy to be praised.

Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“”Be broken [in pieces], O peoples, and be shattered! Listen, all you [our enemies from the] far countries.

Prepare yourselves [for war], and be shattered; Prepare yourselves [for war], and be shattered.

“Take counsel together [against Judah], but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand,

For God is with us (Immanuel).””

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thy Will

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.wordpress.com/

I was reflecting and meditating on this scripture this morning because there is a real battle that is waging in the spirit against gods people.

There are many distractions we face as leaders and many burdens we carry that we are not designed to carry alone.

Sometimes in the midst of the issue or crisis we can’t find words to express our thoughts, feelings and emotions but we know we desperately need a place of release and comfort.

I just wanted to share this thought to encourage us today…

”But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness.

Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!“. 2 Corinthians 12:9 AMPC

Let’s let that sink into our spirits.

Selah

”So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.“ Matthew 6:34 AMPC

We can rest knowing: “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: Forsake not the works of thine own hands.“

Psalm 138:8 KJV

”Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. …..” Exodus 3:6 KJV

He says and always says:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.“ Matthew 11:28 KJV

”Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.“ John 14:27 KJV

”…lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.“. Matthew 28:20 KJV

We can trust:

”For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.“ Luke 1:37 AMPC

”When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.“. Proverbs 16:7 AMP

”My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the rock and strength of my heart and my portion forever.“ Psalms 73:26 AMP

”But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.“ Luke 12:7 KJV

We must know that:

”The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.“ Psalm 18:2 KJV

”God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.“ Psalm 46:1 KJV

”The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, And delivereth them.“. Psalm 34:7 KJV

”For he shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.“. Psalm 91:11-12 KJV

All we have to do is:

”Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:“ Isaiah 55:6 KJV

”Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.“ Psalm 16:11 KJV

My prayer for today is:

”The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.“

Numbers 6:24-26 KJV

Let us surrender today saying “Thy will” be done!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

”After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.“

Matthew 6:9-10 KJV

They were Longing

I was reflecting on these scriptures and the burden that comes along with the change associated with losing someone who is precious.

This can be in both business and our personal lives: however, what is clear is that the person’s presence had an impact on us.

At moments like these, we can search the Word of God for solid ground to stand, reflect, recalibrate and muster the courage to press forward.

Leaders find solid ground by having faith in god and his consistency:

⁃ “Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly].” Mark 11:22 AMP

⁃ “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.”John 14:1 AMP

⁃ “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”Genesis 8:22 AMP

⁃ “In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being. In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].” John 1:1-5 AMP

A leader’s ability to reflect and recalibrate is based on the belief that God’s promises will still come to pass:

⁃ “For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished.” Matthew 5:18 AMP

In closing, it is my prayer that today, we can muster up the courage to press forward continuing the good work of the kingdom – remembering but never looking backwards.

“….. now therefore arise [to take his place], cross over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.” Joshua 1:2 AMP

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Now those who say such things make it clear that they are looking for a country of their own.

And if they had been thinking of that country from which they departed [as their true home], they would have had [a continuing] opportunity to return.

But the truth is that they were longing for a better country, that is, a heavenly one.

For that reason God is not ashamed [of them or] to be called their God [even to be surnamed their God—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob]; for He has prepared a city for them.”

Hebrews 11:14-16 AMP

They will share the Burden

I was reflecting on these scriptures that relate to equipping ourselves and our teams for exponential impact through Gods power.

It is becoming more real to me just how critical we, the leaders, must become resolute in our thinking to attract, develop and train more godly leaders.

We are given the mandate to: Be Fruitful, Multiply, Subjugate, and to have Dominion. These conditions cannot be achieved without a team no matter the assignment.

The reality that our mandate is much bigger than our personal abilities requires that we assemble and equip a team of likeminded and committed leaders.

Understanding, like Joshua, that every place we walk is ours; there is no limit to the opportunities. Our only potential limit is in our ability to prepare ourselves (spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally) and the leaders on our team.

Only you and God will know the number of “men” that will be needed for the calling on your life. We see that Moses needed 70; but the scriptures shows that just two can have unlimited impact when they are in agreement.

In closing, here are a couple of reflection questions to ask:

⁃ Who is on your leadership team that needs to be coached to the next level?

⁃ What training/ capability gaps do you have in your leadership team that needs addressing?

⁃ Who is on your leadership team but chooses not to grow?

⁃ What is your action plan to resolve these gaps, this year?

It is my prayer that the Lord will give you clarity, wisdom, courage and strength to attract, train and realign your team to run the race that God has given you. In Jesus Name, Amen

“And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.””

Genesis 1:28 AMP

“The Lord said to Moses: “Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the tent of meeting, that they may stand there with you. I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone.”

Numbers 11:16-17 NIV

“Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19 AMP https://bible.com/bible/1588/mat.18.19.AMP

Strongholds

I was reflecting on this passage this morning and the many habits that we have been blessed to change over the years. We may not see the incremental daily progress but one day we see the growth and are grateful.

Todays passage really requires focused effort in areas of life that others call “strongholds”. They may or may not be strongholds classified as sin but may be beliefs or behaviors that prevent us from living a guilt/ condemnation free life.

This passage is the antidote to that thought, “ It feel like we will never overcome this thing”!

The truth is that”EVERY” plant which our Heavenly Father did not plant will be torn up by the root.

How?

“Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for us…”

As leaders, it is important that we identify, understand and address the things that slows us down and prevents us from running toward the fight: animosity, anger, doubt, unbelief, unforgiveness, mistakes, bruises, abuse, low self esteem, loneliness, strife, etc.

Today is the day to rejoice and to be free to pursue our devine purpose because we are covered by the blood of Jesus that blots it all out.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”

Amen.

Be encouraged!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“He answered, “Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant will be torn up by the roots.”

Matthew 15:13 AMP

Peace be unto you

This morning I just felt a need to search and read about peace and to share a word of encouragement.

Yes it is true that there are troubles that seem ever present and multitudinous but I am reminded that God is all knowing and that he was here from the beginning.

I am also reminded that all things are working together for our good because we love him and are called according to his purpose.

It is my prayer that we as leaders will not let our hearts be troubled in this season and that we will have the peace of God which passeth all understanding, and keeps are hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; so that we can help those to whom we are assigned to help them find their own place of peace in Christ.

Be strong in the Lord and the Power of his might.

Be encouraged.

Be blessed.

Be a blessing!

“IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Isa. 9:6.] He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.”

John 1:1-3 AMPC

“The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually). And they shall put My name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them.”

Numbers 6:24-27 AMPC

Even the strong need support

These are the times as leaders that we need to be open to receiving support so that our faith fails not.

When I read this passage this morning I was moved by the thought of the pain that was being experienced by Jesus.

I was amazed at how the strongest person to ever walk the earth just struggled with agony to the point he needed strength and support to achieve his devine purpose.

There are and will be times as leaders that we are placed in a devinely appointed assignment to fix.

The personal consequences will never be at the same level as those Jesus faced but rest assured- our outcomes will be consequential.

Our situation may seem impossible and one we have been battling to understand, to discern a plan and path forward, and to execute that plan against unheard of resistance.

We may even be weary in our faith and all we have left is the promise from God.

These are the times as leaders that we need to be open to receiving support so that our faith fails not.

Accepting help is not a sign of weakness but I believe that this example was provided as revelation and reassurance that even the strongest among us need help and support.

Be blessed!

Be encouraged!

“Saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done. And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven, strengthening Him in spirit. And being in an agony [of mind], He prayed [all the] more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground.”

Luke 22:42-44 AMPC
