Vulnerable But Not Exposed

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that there are times, as leaders, when we just feel like we are in a season of the “press”.

We may feel vulnerable – meaning being open to physical, emotional, or mental harm, attack, or damage because of a lack of protection; yet – we are not exposed.

In these moments, despite feeling a desire to shrink or to retreat, we should ask ourselves, “What is required of me, now?”

We must press in on that question until we receive a word from the Lord!

The Bible shows us examples of how the Lord shields and protects His own:

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬, ‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: and I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Thank you Lord!

Despite being hidden, we are comforted and are not alone: No, we are never alone!

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear What man shall do unto me.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“O LORD God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty LORD? Your faithfulness surrounds You [as an intrinsic, unchangeable part of Your very being]. You rule the swelling of the sea; When its waves rise, You still them. [Ps 65:7; 107:29; Mark 4:39]

You have crushed Rahab (Egypt) like one who is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all that is in it, You have founded and established them. [Gen 1:3]”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭89‬:‭8‬-‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

As we wrap up, it is my sincere prayer that we, the leaders, will double down and truly learn to trust the Lord in the power of His might.

In Him we have all sufficiency in all things!

The Bible walks us through the process:

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].”

‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Have not I commanded thee?

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬, ‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.

So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬
