That Which You Fear – Embrace & Conquer

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning  and the thought that we, the leaders, forge through life with the present awareness that we will face the unknown – first!

As trailblazers, we must develop a mindset and a success system to face the associated fears, to embrace them and to ultimately conquer them.

Fears drivers may be:

  • A lack of understanding about a situation.
  • A sense of not having enough required capacity or energy.
  • A feeling of being ill prepared to meet the perceived high expectations or complexity.

No matter the driver, the Bible tells us:

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Thank you Lord!

We are blessed to have the example of David to study and to follow. As with David, let us pray and ask that the Lord teaches our hands to war:

“Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭144‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Amen

The Bible also reminds us that:

“The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭37‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭62‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“So let no one boast in men [about their wisdom, or of having this or that one as a leader].

For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas (Peter) or the world or life or death or things present or things to come;

all things are yours, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭21‬-‭23‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Selah

In conclusion, it is my prayer that as we search the Word of God and seek the Lord, we will replace fear drivers with faith.

“This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭34‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

And finally, let us declare and believe that:

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It is so, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Then a champion came out from the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

He had a bronze helmet on his head, and wore a coat of scale-armor (overlapping metal plates) which weighed 5,000 shekels of bronze.

He had bronze shin protectors on his legs and a bronze javelin hung between his shoulders.

The [wooden] shaft of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; the blade-head of his spear weighed six hundred shekels of iron. And a shield-bearer walked in front of him.

Goliath stood and shouted to the battle lines of Israel, saying to them, “Why have you come out to draw up for battle? Am I not the Philistine and are you not servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves and have him come down to me.

David said to Saul, “Let no man’s courage fail because of him (Goliath). Your servant will go out and fight with this Philistine.”

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted.

When the Philistine rose and came forward to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭4‬-‭8‬, ‭32‬, ‭45‬, ‭48‬ ‭AMP‬‬
