Enlarge the Site of Your Tent

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that we, the leaders, may be experiencing headwinds and or possible delays as we implement our god given visions and ideas. Yes, we have our hands to the plow but have yet to see the manifestation – the birth.

Despite what we are seeing or experiencing in the natural realm, we must cultivate our spiritual eyes of faith and focus on the promises found in the word of God – as they are still true – and begin to expand our tents by faith in anticipation of the harvest!

The scripture tells us to prepare now (to enlarge our tents) to make capacity by faith to receive and nurture our spiritual children (ideas, strategies, concepts, businesses, relationships, influence and souls) which has no limit.

Scripture tells us:

““Shout for joy, O barren one, she who has not given birth; Break forth into joyful shouting and rejoice, she who has not gone into labor [with child]! For the [spiritual] sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord. [Gal 4:27]”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Praise the lord!

The Bible also tells us we are still blessed, have authority and through us all the nations will be blessed:

“And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.””

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“…And in you all the families (nations) of the earth will be blessed.” [Gal 3:8]”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ B AMP‬‬

Selah

So, let not our hearts be troubled as Christ has overcome the world and has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness.

“Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail). [1 Pet 5:7]”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55‬:‭22‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

If we trust Him, obey Him and cultivate our soils by asking the Lord to root up any trees in our heart that is not like him, we will create the soil conditions where our words, deeds, ideas and desires will harvest bountifully:

“He answered, “Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant will be torn up by the roots. [Is 60:21]”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Through our faith, we will no longer have to wait for natural manifestation timelines but we will see our harvest mature at the speed of our sowing and belief.

Thank you lord!

In closing, let us shout unto the Lord and thank him for his marvelous works because all he has done is marvelous in our eyes.

Let us praise and honor Him as adoration belongs to God for all of his wonderful works and for just who He is.

Let us today thank Him for giving us the eyes to see the ripe fields of ideas and innovations by faith.

Lastly, let us delight in the law of the Lord day and night to be firmly planted:

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. [Rom 13:8-10; Gal 3:1-29; 2 Tim 3:16]

And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. [Jer 17:7, 8]”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

Let Jesus be glorified as our tents are filled!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

““Shout for joy, O barren one, she who has not given birth; Break forth into joyful shouting and rejoice, she who has not gone into labor [with child]!

For the [spiritual] sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord. [Gal 4:27]

“Enlarge the site of your tent [to make room for more children];

Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not spare them; Lengthen your tent ropes And make your pegs (stakes) firm [in the ground].

“For you will spread out to the right and to the left; And your descendants will take possession of nations And will inhabit deserted cities.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Maturity

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

This mourning I was reflecting on this scripture and the thought that, we leaders, must prioritize and value self reflection in this season.

We must daily focus on the work of becoming a better person, thinking more strategically and executing flawlessly for  ourselves, our families, our teams and our communities.

We are fighting against external forces and barriers, internal fears, personal concerns, doubts and perceived inadequacies.

In short we must show up and perform!

We must choose to invest into relationships building trust and mutual respect understanding that candid conversations are required when either party is missing the mark.

Accountability for maximizing impact must prevail over comfort but never take a back seat to respect and love.

Scriptures remind us:

“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

As I look at this scripture, my heart is reminded that personal and leadership growth is a multi level journey and not a destination.

Scripture encourages us that when Christ, who alone is complete, enters into our situation and our lives, change will happen.

“For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete]. But when that which is complete and perfect comes, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

As we mature in the Word, we are given places to rest but are then nudged (some harder than others) to get back into the fight.

But in order to fight and perform well at the next level, there are some things (thoughts, habits and behaviors) that we will have to  denounce or let go of to successfully run this race.

For some of us, it may be excuses about our health.

For some of us, it may be excuses around our spiritual development and preparation.

For others of us, it may be learning that outcomes are not the same as activity as all activities and outcomes are not valued the same by our customers, our bosses, our church, our family, our spouses, or God.

Selah

Coming to this realization can be humbling but I hear the spirit of the Lord telling us to gird up our loins for the change:

““Now gird up your loins like a man, And I will ask you, and you instruct Me!”

‭‭Job‬ ‭38‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬

So, how do we discern what strategies will meet the need of the moment?

How do we walk in love and embody a standard to which others aspire and then take practical steps to pursue?

The Bible instructs us:

“Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience [as those who died in the wilderness].

For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Instruct us oh Lord so that we may represent you well. Teach us thy truths and help us to grow in you!

“For the love of Christ controls and compels us, because we have concluded this, that One died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that all those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for their sake.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Lord, teach us to know how to communicate in a more precise and thoughtful way –  understanding idle words spoken may release forces we later must subdue. For we know that words are creative and we should  treat each word as if it is a commandment.

Lord teach us how to manage our environment to create places of refuge and peace. For we know that in these quiet places we can hear from you as you inspire us toward a better life I’m Christ

Amen

In closing, the time has now come for the people of god to humble ourselves and seek gods face and will for our situation and lives.

Growth is accompanied by discomfort but the Lord is still our shepherd who will lead us in the path of righteousness.

“As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].

He who tends the fig tree will eat its fruit, And he who faithfully protects and cares for his master will be honored. [1 Cor 9:7, 13]”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let us mature in our faith and achieve excellent results for Gods glory!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant.

It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured.

It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail].

Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].

Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete].

But when that which is complete and perfect comes, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God].

And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4‬-‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Do Not Grieve

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the thought that we, the leaders, have a constant pressure to perform.

We are measured by outward results (the harvest) of our faith walk but no one knows or understands the level of our toil “the faith work” that was required to achieve the results.

Similar to the people listening to Ezra teach the law (the word), we often find ourselves weeping when our hearts are exposed to the Son:

“Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.”  ‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Selah

A leaders “Faith work” mandates our learning how to starve our doubts, fears and inadequacies – replacing them with prayers, meditation and being vulnerable before the Lord.

All of this activity is necessary for our development and growth in Christ:

“Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!

They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Amen

Next, our path to greatness begins when we learn to surrender all to Christ:

“ …My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.””

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭5b- 6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lastly, it is my sincere prayer that we do not grieve because of the growth process.

We must remember that this day is holy to the Lord our God. In Jesus name. Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law.

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be still, for this is a holy day. Do not grieve.”

Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.”

Spoiled By the Potter’s Hand

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting this morning on this scripture and the reality that in our journeys with God we are constantly challenged to grow.

Usually we find, as leaders, that when we face obstacles or resistant, there is often a “faith lesson” in the works to prepare and strengthen us while refining our skills for the next level of leadership.

This process can be frustrating, disheartening and difficult as promotion usually requires us to change to thrive at the higher level.

Scripture tells us:

“For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.” Hebrews‬ ‭3‬:‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Yes, he knows us but we must learn  ourselves and choose to lay down our weights, habits, beliefs and simply say “yes lord” – despite it all, I will go!

Everyday, we are presented with a choice to move forward in Christ or not!

We do not always make the correct choice but we can improve our odds of success in Christ by surrendering our hearts, minds, emotions, dreams and fears to Him – allowing him to mix our lives up like the potter.

Allow Christ to Continuously  Improve Us:

Often times we have grown and formed into a pot that capacity to handle so much of the “weight of leadership”. If we are not careful, our development and preparedness can become obsolete or ineffective as new situations demand “more”.

Unless we allow ourselves to be broken,  molded and reshaped on the potters wheel, we will not be adequately prepared or equipped for the demands of the moment.

It is my sincere prayer and declaration that we will remain faithful and keep our hearts receptive for the calling of God:

“Now Moses was faithful in [the administration of] all God’s house, [but only] as a ministering servant, [his ministry serving] as a testimony of the things which were to be spoken afterward [the revelation to come in Christ]; [Num 12:7] but

Christ is faithful as a Son over His [Father’s] house. And we are His house if we hold fast our confidence and sense of triumph in our hope [in Christ].

Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as [your fathers did] in the rebellion [of Israel at Meribah], On the day of testing in the wilderness,”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3‬:‭5-8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let’s let the potter continue to mold us and get all the glory!  He does marvelous work.

In Jesus Name.

Be Blesses!

Be a Blessing!

“The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord:

“Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will make you hear My words.”

Then I went down to the potter’s house, and saw that he was working at the wheel.

But the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled by the potter’s hand; so he made it over, reworking it and making it into another pot that seemed good to him.

Then the word of the Lord came to me:

“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?” says the Lord. “Look carefully, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.

At one moment I might [suddenly] speak concerning a nation or kingdom, that I will uproot and break down and destroy;

if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent and reverse My decision concerning the devastation that I intended to do.

Or at another time I might [suddenly] speak about a nation or kingdom that I will build up or establish;

and if they do evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will reverse My decision concerning the good with which I had promised to bless them.

Now then, say to the men of Judah and to the citizens of Jerusalem, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Behold, I am shaping a disaster and working out a plan against you. Turn back, each of you from his evil way; correct your habits and change your actions for the better.” ’

But they will say, ‘That is hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act in accordance with the stubbornness of his evil heart.’”

Spiritual Ignorance

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.wordpress.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that, as leaders, being in a place of spiritual ignorance can be extremely costly.

The Bible says it this way:

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Also it is not good for a person to be without knowledge, And he who hurries with his feet [acting impulsively and proceeding without caution or analyzing the consequences] sins (misses the mark).” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19‬:‭2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

The solution is for us to choose to study and apply Gods word in our daily lives:

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And by developing simple success behaviors, we make our way prosperous:

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Selah

As we continue on this journey, our partial understanding becomes clearer as Christ reveals the mysteries unto us.

“For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In closing, it is my prayer and decree that we are and remain diligent students of His Word!

“My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart.

For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

Let us fight the good fight of faith against spiritual ignorance.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“As He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it [and the spiritual ignorance of its people],

saying, “If [only] you had known on this day [of salvation], even you, the things which make for peace [and on which peace depends]! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.

For a time [of siege] is coming when your enemies will put up a barricade [with pointed stakes] against you, and surround you [with armies] and hem you in on every side, [Is 29:3; Jer 6:6; Ezek 4:2]

and they will level you to the ground, you [Jerusalem] and your children within you. They will not leave in you one stone on another, all because you did not [come progressively to] recognize [from observation and personal experience] the time of your visitation [when God was gracious toward you and offered you salvation].””

We Are Well Able

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.wordpress.com/

I was reading the scripture this morning and the thought of how critical, as leaders, we must train ourselves to have “spiritual eyes” as we continue to grow in stature, influence and authority.

We see in this passage that the children of Israel were on the edge of claiming and possessing the land which God had promised them.

Moses was told, by God, to send out the leaders from each tribe to spy out the land. These leaders represented the best of the best.

They went and did what was commanded but when they returned, most had an “evil report” that success was impossible as they measured their success ability by “their” capabilities vs God’s capabilities.

Alternatively, there were two leaders (Caleb and Joshua) who saw the same conditions but had a “good report” that success is possible! Their sight was solely focused on God’s capabilities.

Scripture shows us:

“…Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among the scouts who had searched the land, rent their clothes,

And they said to all the company of Israelites, The land through which we passed as scouts is an exceedingly good land.

If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense and the shadow [of protection] is removed from over them, but the Lord is with us. Fear them not.”

Numbers 14:6-9 AMPC

Selah

As leaders, our faith is and will continue to be tested with greater and greater “mountains”. We will always need to lean on, rely on and depend on God! We must get comfortable being uncomfortable, understanding that God’s plans require us to grow.

Scripture challenges us to build up our faith:

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;”

Jude 1:20 AMPC

Like taking medicine, meditating on the Word should be our action multiple times per day.

In closing, this is our prayer:

“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me into a level country and into the land of uprightness.”

Psalm 143:10 AMPC

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“AND THE Lord said to Moses, Send men to explore and scout out [for yourselves] the land of Canaan, which I give to the Israelites. From each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader or head among them.

So Moses by the command of the Lord sent scouts from the Wilderness of Paran, all of them men who were heads of the Israelites.

Moses sent them to scout out the land of Canaan, and said to them, Get up this way by the South (the Negeb) and go up into the hill country,

And see what the land is and whether the people who dwell there are strong or weak, few or many,

And whether the land they live in is good or bad, and whether the cities they dwell in are camps or strongholds,

And what the land is, whether it is fat or lean, whether there is timber on it or not. And be of good courage and bring some of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.

And they returned from scouting out the land after forty days. They came to Moses and Aaron and to all the Israelite congregation in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh, and brought them word, and showed them the land’s fruit.

They told Moses, We came to the land to which you sent us; surely it flows with milk and honey. This is its fruit.

But the people who dwell there are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, there we saw the sons of Anak [of great stature and courage].

Amalek dwells in the land of the South (the Negeb); the Hittite, the Jebusite, and the Amorite dwell in the hill country; and the Canaanite dwells by the sea and along by the side of the Jordan [River].

Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once and possess it; we are well able to conquer it.

But his fellow scouts said, We are not able to go up against the people [of Canaan], for they are stronger than we are.”

The Disciple is not Above His Master

A Leadership Insight

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the idea that we, as leaders, must change first to affect change for our households, businesses and ministries. Others will not or cannot change until we do. If we expect greater outcomes, it is on us to drive the change.

We must prepare ourselves for the battle; here are a couple of ways:

Dream Bigger to See Farther!

We must dream bigger dreams and think bigger thoughts according to the limits of God. This causes his super to be added to our natural by faith.

”for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.“

Genesis 13:15 KJV

”And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, and houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.“

Deuteronomy 6:10-12 KJV

Desire Bigger to Create Capacity , Hunger and Thirst!

”The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: But the desire of the righteous shall be granted.“ Proverbs 10:24 KJV

”Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.“

Matthew 5:6 KJV

Get greater Joy for Strength for the Journey!

”Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.“

Nehemiah 8:10 KJV

Break up our fallow ground:

”Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.“ Hosea 10:12 KJV

Gird our loins:

”Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.“ Jeremiah 1:17 KJV

Find instructions in the Word:

”Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; And I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; For therein do I delight.“ Psalm 119:33-35 KJV

”Blessed be the LORD my strength, Which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:“Psalm 144:1 KJV

Take Action for Now is the Time:

”(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, And in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)“

2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV

In closing:

As we commit to soaking ourselves in the Word this year, we will see our wounds healed and an abundance of wealth, riches, favour, peace and clarity in our lives.

At the end, we will testify of the transformation that occurred.

Thank you Lord that you said in your word:

”Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.“. Genesis 13:17 KJV

We receive it by faith, in Jesus name.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

”The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his Lord.

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his Lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?“

Matthew 10:24-25 KJV

A Leadership Insight

I was reflecting on these scriptures and the power and purpose of service. Each year, as leaders, we need to spend time in prayer and meditation while walking through our strategic planning process.

This is an exercise where we reflect and assess our accomplishments for this year but most importantly, who have we become! Have we grown in the areas of importance, stagnated or have we lost ground?

Regardless of the “reality”, we have an opportunity to inquire of the Lord concerning what foundational seeds we should sow for growth – our act of service to others.

As we listen with our hearts in faith, we will receive a new model of service. We will also have validation because the solution will bring inner peace – that’s it!

This is a material shift from the world’s approach which focuses on “getting” – the outcomes.

As godly leaders, we focus on how we can “be a blessing” and “sow seeds” of service into the lives of others. In return, we have the priviledge to call them “our customer”.

We see this success model in the bible: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the while] was making it grow and [He] gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6 AMPC

The greatest skills we can learn are how to attract and serve a customer. That is a special relationship that must be nurtured for mutual benefit. This relationship requires that we give of ourselves to others.

“But [dedicate your inner self and] give as donations to the poor [of solutions] of those things which are within [of inward righteousness] and behold, everything is purified and clean for you.

It is my prayer that we will not become weary in sowing seeds of love (solutions) that emotionally benefits others and glorifies God.

Angels, ministering spirits, go and cause the customers to come in Jesus Name, Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Now while Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee invited Him to take dinner with him, so He entered and reclined at table.

The Pharisee noticed and was astonished [to see] that Jesus did not first wash before dinner.

But the Lord said to him, Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the plate, but inside you yourselves are full of greed and robbery and extortion and malice and wickedness.

You senseless (foolish, stupid) ones [acting without reflection or intelligence]! Did not He Who made the outside make the inside also?

But [dedicate your inner self and] give as donations to the poor of those things which are within [of inward righteousness] and behold, everything is purified and clean for you.” Luke 11:37-41 AMPC

When Your Eye (your conscience) is Sound

A Leadership Insight

I was reflecting on these scriptures and the thought that as leaders, we must see the world through multiple sets of “eyes”: Our eyes of personal desires, the eyes of our vision for the future, the eyes of our team and the eyes of our customers. To achieve this, we rely heavily on our conscience to be our moral compass.

This can be difficult and often there is misalignment which can lead to failure or missed opportunity if handled in our own strength.

As believers, scripture reminds us that we “are the light of the world.” And we are instructed to: “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14,16 AMPC

We are responsible for performing our daily heavenly adjustment because:

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs and tries the hearts” Proverbs 21:2 AMPC

“Haughtiness of eyes and a proud heart, even the tillage of the wicked or the lamp [of joy] to them [whatever it may be], are sin [in the eyes of God].” Proverbs 21: 4 AMPC

“Does not [God] see my ways and count all my steps? If my step has turned out of [God’s] way, and my heart has gone the way my eyes [covetously] invited, and if any spot has stained my hands with guilt, Then let me sow and let another eat; yes, let the produce of my field or my offspring be rooted out.”

Job 31:4, 7-8 AMPC

We must be authentic with God and realize that our destiny is based on how well we yield to the spirit and are obedient to the Word.

“Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye (your conscience) is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound and is not fulfilling its office, your body is full of darkness.

In closing, there is hope as we lay our petition before the Lord:

“Lord, all my desire is before You; and my sighing is not hidden from You. My heart throbs, my strength fails me; as for the light of my eyes, it also is gone from me.”

Psalm 38:9-10 AMPC

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. [Prov. 6:23.]”

Psalm 119:105 AMPC

“Deal bountifully with Your servant, that I may live; and I will observe Your word [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it]. [Ps. 119:97-101.] Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law.”

Psalm 119:17-18 AMPC

Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or crypt or under a bushel measure, but on a lampstand, that those who are coming in may see the light.

Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye (your conscience) is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound and is not fulfilling its office, your body is full of darkness.

Be careful, therefore, that the light that is in you is not darkness.

If then your entire body is illuminated, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright [with light], as when a lamp with its bright rays gives you light.”

As For You, If You Walk Before Me

A Leadership Insight

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and how we see Solomon starting his reign as king well by building not only the temple of God but the kings palace amongst other things.

Scripture tells us that Solomon’s prayer and supplication was being rewarded: The Lord told him, “I have heard your prayer and supplication which you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built by putting My Name and My Presence there forever.”

Scriptures further reinforces this message by saying:

“The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous [those with moral courage and spiritual integrity] And His ears are open to their cry.” Psalms 34:15 AMP

“The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” James 5:16 AMP

As leaders, the message we must understand is that “starting well” is only a portion of our success responsibilities. We must have or acquire the skill of building (acquiring) but also must use the skills of managing continuous improvement while maintaining cultural continuity over time. This is not easy!

How do we build a system or god seeking culture that is generational (institutionalized) and is free of deception, strife, greed, idolatry, arrogance, and pride?

Yes, God is merciful and his loving kindness is unmeasurable but we can limit or delay a vision because of our carnal hearts. We must keep the main thing the main thing – it’s about Christ and Christ alone!

God is our provider. We are his stewards – his ambassadors that must choose to serve the King of Kings only, keeping our hearts pure and resist all evil forces. Scripture reminds us that:

“Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs and examines the hearts [of people and their motives]. To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice [for wrongs repeatedly committed].”

Proverbs 21:2-3 AMP

“Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful (lying, misleading) mouth, And put devious lips far from you.

Let your eyes look directly ahead [toward the path of moral courage] And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you [toward the path of integrity]. Consider well and watch carefully the path of your feet, And all your ways will be steadfast and sure. Do not turn away to the right nor to the left [where evil may lurk]; Turn your foot from [the path of] evil.”

Proverbs 4:23-27 AMP

Lastly, our decisions and behaviors can cause Gods anointing not to flow. So, let’s:

“Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him also and He will do it. He will make your righteousness [your pursuit of right standing with God] like the light, And your judgment like [the shining of] the noonday [sun].

Be still before the Lord; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him; Do not fret (whine, agonize) because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Cease from anger and abandon wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evil. For those who do evil will be cut off, But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.” Psalms 37:5-9 AMP

Amen and thank you Lord!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Now it happened when Solomon had finished building the house (temple) of the Lord and the king’s house (palace), and all else which he was pleased to do, that the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, just as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.

The Lord told him, “I have heard your prayer and supplication which you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built by putting My Name and My Presence there forever. My eyes and My heart shall be there perpetually.

As for you, if you walk (live your life) before Me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, acting in accordance with everything that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My precepts, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, just as I promised your father David, saying, ‘You shall not be without a man (descendant) on the throne of Israel.’”
