Beauty of Your Fragrance

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that we, the leaders, demonstrate our commitment and love for Christ by exuding a fragrance of love and adoration so much so that it should soak our atmosphere such that it attracts others to Christ.

Others should sense and see that something is different in us – such that it is an attraction of hope, joy and peace.

In the Bible, we see the story of Mary who outwardly demonstrated her love and adoration towards Jesus by pouring oil on His feet and wiping His feet with her hair – so caring and tender as a means of honoring Jesus.

As can be expected, there were others who observed this event but did not nor could not understand the sacrifice seed that Mary was sowing. They misread the moment and underestimated the value of the relationship that Mary had with Jesus!

The Bible says:

“But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, the one who was going to betray Him, said, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and [the money] given to the poor?””

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

For many of us, as leaders, others may observe our actions – our seeds of love and adoration – and may not truly understand our road traveled nor understand the cost of our worship.

Selah

Then, others may see the sweet fragrance of the Holy Spirit working in our lives as the story of Mary calls out and the Bible says:

“…the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Having used her hair to wipe off the feet of Jesus, we can just imaging how the fragrance of the oil in her hair just filled that room and every room in the house throughout the day – therefore soaking the atmosphere well beyond the moment.

We can just imagine that as the scent filled the atmosphere, everyone with whom she encountered that day must have inquired about her beautiful fragrance –  providing Mary the opportunity to share and testify of the goodness of Jesus.

In conclusion, it is my prayer that we will let our lights shine bright today as we carry the sweet smell of the Holy Spirit with us.

The Bible says it this way:

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

When we do this we will be a blessing to others.

Amen

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which ascends] to God, [discernible both] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Enlarge the Site of Your Tent

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that we, the leaders, may be experiencing headwinds and or possible delays as we implement our god given visions and ideas. Yes, we have our hands to the plow but have yet to see the manifestation – the birth.

Despite what we are seeing or experiencing in the natural realm, we must cultivate our spiritual eyes of faith and focus on the promises found in the word of God – as they are still true – and begin to expand our tents by faith in anticipation of the harvest!

The scripture tells us to prepare now (to enlarge our tents) to make capacity by faith to receive and nurture our spiritual children (ideas, strategies, concepts, businesses, relationships, influence and souls) which has no limit.

Scripture tells us:

““Shout for joy, O barren one, she who has not given birth; Break forth into joyful shouting and rejoice, she who has not gone into labor [with child]! For the [spiritual] sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord. [Gal 4:27]”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Praise the lord!

The Bible also tells us we are still blessed, have authority and through us all the nations will be blessed:

“And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.””

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“…And in you all the families (nations) of the earth will be blessed.” [Gal 3:8]”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ B AMP‬‬

Selah

So, let not our hearts be troubled as Christ has overcome the world and has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness.

“Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail). [1 Pet 5:7]”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55‬:‭22‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

If we trust Him, obey Him and cultivate our soils by asking the Lord to root up any trees in our heart that is not like him, we will create the soil conditions where our words, deeds, ideas and desires will harvest bountifully:

“He answered, “Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant will be torn up by the roots. [Is 60:21]”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Through our faith, we will no longer have to wait for natural manifestation timelines but we will see our harvest mature at the speed of our sowing and belief.

Thank you lord!

In closing, let us shout unto the Lord and thank him for his marvelous works because all he has done is marvelous in our eyes.

Let us praise and honor Him as adoration belongs to God for all of his wonderful works and for just who He is.

Let us today thank Him for giving us the eyes to see the ripe fields of ideas and innovations by faith.

Lastly, let us delight in the law of the Lord day and night to be firmly planted:

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. [Rom 13:8-10; Gal 3:1-29; 2 Tim 3:16]

And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. [Jer 17:7, 8]”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

Let Jesus be glorified as our tents are filled!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

““Shout for joy, O barren one, she who has not given birth; Break forth into joyful shouting and rejoice, she who has not gone into labor [with child]!

For the [spiritual] sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord. [Gal 4:27]

“Enlarge the site of your tent [to make room for more children];

Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not spare them; Lengthen your tent ropes And make your pegs (stakes) firm [in the ground].

“For you will spread out to the right and to the left; And your descendants will take possession of nations And will inhabit deserted cities.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

For the Lord is a Great God

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning with a heavy heart for this has been a difficult season for many of us, as leaders.

We are expected to be strong yet empathetic with those we lead while personally adjusting to the demands (challenges) of our lives.

So, this morning, let us hit pause and just reflect on all that Christ has done for us in this season – gathering as many examples of His faithfulness as possible.

When we just consider His love, grace, protection and provisions, we will begin to feel the joy of the Lord starting to rise on the inside.

Here are a couple more scriptures we can leverage to find that joy:

“I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”  Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy and lovingkindness are everlasting, His faithfulness [endures] to all generations.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Know ye that the LORD he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭100‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

Oh come let us adore Him!

For He alone is worthy of all the praise, glory and adoration.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

Merry Christmas!

“O come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with songs.

For the Lord is a great God And a great King above all gods,

In whose hand are the depths of the earth;

The peaks of the mountains are His also.

The sea is His, for He made it [by His command];

And His hands formed the dry land. [Gen 1:9]

O come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer].

For He is our God And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice, [Heb 3:7-11]

Do not harden your hearts and become spiritually dull as at Meribah [the place of strife], And as at Massah [the place of testing] in the wilderness, [Ex 17:1-7; Num 20:1-13; Deut 6:16]

“When your fathers tested Me, They tried Me, even though they had seen My work [of miracles].

“For forty years I was grieved and disgusted with that generation, And I said, ‘They are a people who err in their heart, And they do not acknowledge or regard My ways.’

“Therefore I swore [an oath] in My wrath, ‘They absolutely shall not enter My rest [the land of promise].’ ” [Heb 4:3-11]”

The Increase of His Government and of Peace

A Leadership Insight

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and my heart just began to fill up with praise and adoration for our King- Jesus Christ.

As leaders, it is important to pause and give alms where due. So today we will simply celebrate Christ with words of praise and adoration. He deserves all the glory and he alone is worthy. Let’s begin:

”For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder..” Isaiah 9:6 AMPC

Joy to the world, the Lord has come

”And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men.“

Luke 2:13-14 KJV

”O come, let us worship and bow down: Let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; And we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,“

Psalm 95:6-7 KJV

Let us thank him as He has overcome the World on our behalf:

”The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.“ Psalm 103:19 AMPC

”The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).“ John 10:10 AMPC

”I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]“

John 16:33 AMPC

Oh Come Let is Adore Him

Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.

Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, all you His hosts, you His ministers who do His pleasure.

Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion; bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul!“

Psalm 103:20-22 AMPC

”I WILL bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.“ Psalm 34:1 AMPC

Relationship Matters

”And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever–“ John 14:16 AMPC

”He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.“ John 7:38 AMPC

My prayer is that your peace be multiplied, in Jesus Name:

”May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.“ 2 Peter 1:2 AMPC

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

”For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. [Isa. 25:1; 40:9-11; Matt. 28:18; Luke 2:11.]

Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. [Dan. 2:44; I Cor. 15:25-28; Heb. 1:8.]“ Isaiah 9:6-7 AMPC

I am not worthy

As I was reflecting on this passage, I had so many questions and thoughts as to why was this centurion sending so many people out to see Jesus even though he had a need.

He was a man of high regard in the community and clearly was a man of means in that he built the synagogue with his own resources.

He was a leader’s leader.

The only conclusion I could gather was that this man had an uncommon level of fear, adoration and respect for Jesus and the things of God.

These beliefs and values were principle drivers of his success as the scripture says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

As leaders, we can use the centurion as a role model, a blue print of success.

We must also grow in the Lord and maintain the spirit of reverential fear, awe and adoration in our hearts.

Be Blessed!

Why? So that wisdom, understanding and blessings will be poured out on us that we will not have room enough to receive them. Amen

Be a Blessing!

“Now a centurion had a bond servant who was held in honor and highly valued by him, who was sick and at the point of death.

And when the centurion heard of Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to Him, requesting Him to come and make his bond servant well.

And when they reached Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying, He is worthy that You should do this for him, For he loves our nation and he built us our synagogue [at his own expense].

And Jesus went with them. But when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent [some] friends to Him, saying, Lord, do not trouble [Yourself], for I am not sufficiently worthy to have You come under my roof; Neither did I consider myself worthy to come to You.

But [just] speak a word, and my servant boy will be healed.”

Luke 7:2-7 AMPC
