I Have Many Things to Say to You

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and my mind kept processing and wondering why Jesus felt that His disciples were not ready or able to bear the gravity of the news that was forthcoming. Was the hesitation out of love or the realization  that it would be overwhelming for them in the natural.

He knew that He was going to be crucified and they were going to need the Holy Spirit to just make it through the transition which was imminent.

We see throughout the current and the previous chapter how Jesus was trying to prepare His disciples for the significant change that was coming.

We see several scriptures in the Bible where Jesus is instructing them:

““If the world hates you [and it does], know that it has hated Me before it hated you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Remember [and continue to remember] that I told you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭20‬ ‭AMP‬‬

““I have told you these things so that you will not stumble or be caught off guard and fall away.”

‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“I have told you these things [now], so that when their time comes, you will remember that I told you about them. I did not say these things to you at the beginning, because I was with you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

““But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts [and taken complete possession of them].”

‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Jesus knew that WORDS WERE NOT ENOUGH – they needed more!

So He left His Holy Spirit to minister and comfort them each on an individual, intimate and personal level as they grieved and tried to pick up the mantle of leadership.

That is so powerful!

Selah

There is always a great loss that fills our hearts, minds and souls when someone who is instrumental to our development (our thoughts, our values and our beliefs) leaves us.

Shared moments with them made an impact and contributed to our growth – while their presence edified and assured us.

Then, the transition happens- whether death, promotions, relocation or just distance – life.

We then grapple with the loss of our loved one or mentor or manager; yet, we find ourselves reflecting on many past conversational nuggets.

Reality eventually settles in that we must move forward on our own accord as we accept the mantle of leadership and walk in the authority, weight and responsibility of “the leader”.

Lastly, our pain is buffeted by our knowing that Christ has positioned us to never be alone!

The Bible say:

“But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. [Matt 5:7, 13, 24, 25; Luke 24:49; John 14:16; Acts 1:4]”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭26‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

In conclusion, let us not allow our hearts be troubled when trouble comes. Let us, as leaders, make room for the Holy Spirit to be our guide and comforter to restore our joy:

“If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.andandand”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

““This is My commandment, that you love and unselfishly seek the best for one another, just as I have loved you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In Jesus name, Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

““I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear [to hear] them now. But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].

He will glorify and honor Me, because He (the Holy Spirit) will take from what is Mine and will disclose it to you.

All things that the Father has are Mine. Because of this I said that He [the Spirit] will take from what is Mine and will reveal it to you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Beauty of Your Fragrance

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that we, the leaders, demonstrate our commitment and love for Christ by exuding a fragrance of love and adoration so much so that it should soak our atmosphere such that it attracts others to Christ.

Others should sense and see that something is different in us – such that it is an attraction of hope, joy and peace.

In the Bible, we see the story of Mary who outwardly demonstrated her love and adoration towards Jesus by pouring oil on His feet and wiping His feet with her hair – so caring and tender as a means of honoring Jesus.

As can be expected, there were others who observed this event but did not nor could not understand the sacrifice seed that Mary was sowing. They misread the moment and underestimated the value of the relationship that Mary had with Jesus!

The Bible says:

“But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, the one who was going to betray Him, said, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and [the money] given to the poor?””

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

For many of us, as leaders, others may observe our actions – our seeds of love and adoration – and may not truly understand our road traveled nor understand the cost of our worship.

Selah

Then, others may see the sweet fragrance of the Holy Spirit working in our lives as the story of Mary calls out and the Bible says:

“…the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Having used her hair to wipe off the feet of Jesus, we can just imaging how the fragrance of the oil in her hair just filled that room and every room in the house throughout the day – therefore soaking the atmosphere well beyond the moment.

We can just imagine that as the scent filled the atmosphere, everyone with whom she encountered that day must have inquired about her beautiful fragrance –  providing Mary the opportunity to share and testify of the goodness of Jesus.

In conclusion, it is my prayer that we will let our lights shine bright today as we carry the sweet smell of the Holy Spirit with us.

The Bible says it this way:

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

When we do this we will be a blessing to others.

Amen

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which ascends] to God, [discernible both] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.”

‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Solution: Prayer and Fasting

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that we, the leaders, may find ourselves in an environment that feels unjust or one where excessive demands are expected to produce what feels, to the natural untrained mind, as an impossible task.

Impossible – What is that?

Conditions may be chaotic or even morbid but I hear the word of the Lord saying that He is ruler over all the world, is sovereign and with one touch from Jesus, things change!

The bible tells us that:

“The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; And his kingdom ruleth over all.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭103‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭9‬:‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭9‬:‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

As leaders and Christ followers, we can be as effective as Jesus – if we prepare and are consecrated. If we are not seeing results, we should pause and reflect like His disciples.

The Bible tells us:

“Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father];”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.

And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. [Ex 3:14]”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭9‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Selah

Let us not get discouraged with where we currently are but we also cannot be complacent and stop growing.

God knows us and is preparing us to do great things.

The Bible say it this way:

““Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.””

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin.

Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank you Lord!

In conclusion, our  responsibility, as leaders, is to continue to receive spiritual guidance and insights – doing our part to strengthen our inner man through fasting and prayer.

When done, we will download Gods wisdom, have the mind of Christ, grow in our spiritual authority and see that all things are working together for our good – by faith!

Let us meditate on these scriptures daily:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has granted me [the needed] strength and made me able for this, because He considered me faithful and trustworthy, putting me into service [for this ministry],

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬  ‭AMP‬‬

“Teach me to do Your will [so that I may please You], For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” Psalms 143:10

“The grace of our Lord [His amazing, unmerited favor and blessing] flowed out in superabundance [for me, together] with the faith and love which are [realized] in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him,

Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them,

This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

Silent Authority

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the thought of how vital it is that we, the leaders, understand and acknowledge the authority we bring to the table as we are executing our purpose and missions.

Silent authority (meekness) in the natural may appear as if we are subservient; however, while others may misjudge and attempt to brashly excerpt their authority,  we must be wise, steady and execute our mission with precision, wisdom, grace and excellence – allowing the Christ in us to be magnified and honored when we work unto the Him.

We know with confident trust that our results are achieved in our prayer closets and when we fast – silencing the noise to receive our “right now” word from God.

During our times of quiet reflection, the Lord will reveal to us a strategy, plan and solution that is beyond the comprehension of the finest institutions and thinkers:

“In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the [learned] magicians and enchanters (Magi) in his whole realm.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

Daniel’s silent authority leadership example is captured in scripture which says:

“Daniel answered the king and said, “Regarding the mystery about which the king has inquired, neither the wise men, enchanters, magicians, nor astrologers are able to answer the king,

but there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days (end of days).

This was your dream and the vision [that appeared] in your mind while on your bed.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭2‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank you Lord!

Now others may try to dismiss, scorn or shame us like the Pharisee-because of our backgrounds. We see such  examples in the scriptures below:

“Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were sneering and ridiculing Him.

So He said to them, “You are the ones who declare yourselves just and upright in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts [your thoughts, your desires, your secrets]; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God. [1 Sam 16:7; Prov 21:2]”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭16‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“When Jesus reached the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So Zaccheus hurried and came down, and welcomed Jesus with joy.

When the people saw it, they all began muttering [in discontent], “He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a [notorious] sinner.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Our response to all those sneers and shame  is, “But God”, as we know that all of this condemnation becomes naught when Christ shows up!

His heavenly knowledge has no end and is available only to us who know and follow Him.

The Bible describes it this way:

“He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

In conclusion, let us be reminded to walk in love, strive to have the mind of Christ and  realize that it is the Christ in us that has given us the authority to have dominion over the earth, in Jesus name.

Let us leverage this authority with precision, and purpose so that all powers and principalities that try and come against us are subdued and placed under our feet.

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭56‬-‭58‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We have the victory in Christ.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will immediately provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

How then will the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen this way?””

Peace I Leave; My Peace I Give

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning and the idea that when it comes to peace, there appears to be atleast two possible levels: the peace level that is “left” with us and the Christ level that is given to us – if we receive it!

The Bible encourages us to always choose the more excellent way:

“But earnestly desire and strive for the greater gifts [if acquiring them is going to be your goal]. And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one of the choicest graces and the highest of them all: unselfish love].”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭31‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank you Lord!!

We, the leaders, must become and live the Word and pursue peace with all men!

Though we see many  nations orchestrate peace accords, which are based on trust and honor, the success of those agreements are dependent on the sustained commitment of the involved nations.

However, the Bible tells us that the heart of man is evil continuously which can cause agreements to be broken:

“The Lord saw that the wickedness (depravity) of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination or intent of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6‬:‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“The heart is deceitful above all things And it is extremely sick; Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives? [Matt 13:15-17; Mark 7:21-23; Eph 4:20-24]”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

But thank God for Jesus!

The higher level of peace is found in the passage where Jesus calls it “my peace”.

That is a peace that is incorruptible and everlasting – it reigns and holds true at all times and provides an inner strength, fortitude and authority which empowers us, the believers!

The Bible describes it this way:

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is the peace that Christ himself gives to us.  We just need to receive it today!

So, how do we not neglect so great a salvation?

“The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].”

“If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him.

But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭21‬, ‭23‬, ‭26‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

In closing, Lord we thank you for reviving our hearts and souls and teaching us how to have the mind of Christ. You say in your Holy Word:

“Wilt thou not revive us again: That thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, And grant us thy salvation.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭85‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. [Is 40:13]”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Strong Tower

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on this scripture this morning with a reverent heart and the thought, as leaders, “What do we do when we don’t know what to do?”

In this life’s journey, the weight of leadership becomes a reality usually when the stakes are high and the gravity of the moment require decisions that could be fatal or have lasting consequences.

There will be many voices, thoughts and fears that may try and influence our decision so we must decide early to filter all feedback through God’s word.

During these crucible moments, we CAN find answers by faith!

The Bible shares a couple of pathways:

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.””

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

““Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Selah

We must trust God and know that our responsibility and obligation is to make decisions to the best of our spirit led ability based out of love.

In doing that, we can move forward in grace, reverence, without condemnation and:

  • Thank god for that still small voice that gives us the unction of what to do.
  • Thank god for a tender heart to guide us as we act out of love.
  • Thank god for teaching us how to trust Him more.

Amen

In closing, should we wonder if we are making the right decision, there are secret places of reassurance in the scriptures:

“Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.””

‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Thank god for giving us the strongest tower in the Name of Jesus where we can run to and be safe!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Calling and Election Sure

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning, and the thought that we, the leaders, must be equipped to create, implement, and monitor sustainable success systems for growth AFTER we receive a strategic word from the Lord.

Our success is assured when we recognize and meet the devine moments with action like Peter:

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Bible tells us that once Peter executed on Christ’s Words, blessings flowed:

“…, they caught a great number of fish, and their nets were [at the point of] breaking; so they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both of the boats [with fish], so that they began to sink.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

Scripture also reminds us of the benefits that result from having a relationship with Christ:

“For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

We have the responsibility to do our part in being steadfast in studying the word and doing our work:

“Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Do your best to improve your faith by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love. If you keep growing in this way, it will show that what you know about our Lord Jesus Christ has made your lives useful and meaningful.”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭CEV‬‬

In closing, it is my sincere prayer that next year, we the leaders, will grow to new heights in Christ!

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.”

‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Merry Christmas!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Jesus Christ,

To those who have received and possess [by God’s will] a precious faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

Grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.

For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises], make every effort in [exercising] your faith to develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding),

and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, steadfastness, and in your steadfastness, godliness,

and in your godliness, brotherly affection, and in your brotherly affection, [develop Christian] love [that is, learn to unselfishly seek the best for others and to do things for their benefit].

For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For whoever lacks these qualities is blind—shortsighted [closing his spiritual eyes to the truth], having become oblivious to the fact that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Therefore, believers, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for by doing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble [in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin];

for in this way entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly provided to you.”

Giants

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the thought that we, the leaders, must know and believe that we are equipped by the Holy Spirit to overcome any giants that we will face – no matter the size and or complexity!

Giants can come in many forms during our faith journey. They can be:

  • Big or consequential decisions for us, our loved ones or our assignments
  • Bad reports related to health, family, or finances
  • Crucial conversations requiring courage in our personal and professional lives
  • Change impacting us or those we love like shifts at work, shifts in the home and shifts in the community that disrupts routines and norms

The Bible gives us a visible “physical” example of a giant who was threatening Israel from a perceived position of strength:

“Then a champion came out from the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will become your servants; but if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall become our servants and serve us.””

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭4‬, ‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

The truth is that these and ALL giants are destined to fall down; however, how we respond or react when facing them will largely determine our success or failure.

It is true that growth and development as a leader can create many levels of discomfort and  the issues we face can be daunting – causing us to search for solutions while praying for wisdom, peace and guidance.

The reassuring news is found in the Bible, which says:

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we are rooted in Gods word and know his heart for us, we can reflect on how far the lord has brought us and can go forward in boldness like David despite the opinions of those around us:

” Then David spoke to the men who were standing by him, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes the disgrace [of his taunting] from Israel?

For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he has taunted and defied the armies of the living God?”

Now Eliab his oldest brother heard what he said to the men; and Eliab’s anger burned against David and he said, “Why have you come down here? With whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your presumption (overconfidence) and the evil of your heart; for you have come down in order to see the battle.”

But David said, “What have I done now? Was it not just a [harmless] question?” Then David turned away from Eliab to someone else and asked the same question; and the people gave him the same answer as the first time.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭26‬, ‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Selah

Because David had been walking with the Lord and had the faith that the Lord would teach him how to fight just like time past, he rose to the occasion. Scripture tells us:

“David said to Saul, “Let no man’s courage fail because of him (Goliath). Your servant will go out and fight with this Philistine.”

Then Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight him. For you are [only] a young man and he has been a warrior since his youth.”

But David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and attacked it and rescued the lamb from its mouth; and when it rose up against me, I seized it by its whiskers and struck and killed it.

Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted and defied the armies of the living God.”

David said, “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.””

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭32‬-‭37‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Amen

In closing, each of us are facing a “giant” of some kind today as we pursued the promises of God. It is my prayer for us that we pray like David:

“Blessed be the LORD my strength, Which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust; Who subdueth my people under me.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭144‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let us not short circuit the development process until we are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

Let us find the courage to return each day with increasing faith as if our lives depended on it.

These giants must come down and we will take the promise land in Jesus Name!

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“So Moses sent spies from the Wilderness of Paran at the command of the Lord, all of them men who were heads of the Israelites.

Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, “Go up this way into the Negev (the South country); then go up into the hill country.

See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many, and whether the land in which they live is good or bad, and whether the cities in which they live are [open] camps or fortifications,

So they went up and spied out the land from the Wilderness of Zin to Rehob [a town in Lebanon], at Lebo-hamath [in the far north].

When they returned from spying out the land, at the end of forty days, they came to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran at Kadesh, and brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the land’s fruit.

They reported to Moses and said, “We went in to the land where you sent us; and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

But the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified (walled) and very large; moreover, we saw there the descendants of Anak [people of great stature and courage].

But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people [of Canaan], for they are too strong for us.””

Endure to the End

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning and the present urgency we, the leaders, must have in developing our “finishing what we started” mindset – one focused and determined to ensure that the issues and challenges of life don’t deter us from our kingdom assignment.

Sometimes situations may shake our foundations due to rapid successive events which create a feeling of destabilization and doubt – where we wonder if we are in the right place or whether we are making a difference.

  • Yes, adversity will come.
  • Yes, doubts will try to creep into our hearts and minds.
  • And Yes, people may seem to be blinded by the truth and resist us, our ideas and our god.

In times like these, we must hold steadfast to our trust in Jesus, believe that a heavenly solution is possible and pray until we hear His voice for direction as He is our good shepherd.

He will shield us and hide us in His secret place so that we are hidden from the wiles of the devil. The Bible says:

“But Jesus looked at them and said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” [Gen 18:14; Job 42:2]”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19‬:‭26‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Selah

When we stand on the solid rock of Christ, we find purpose and strength in Him.

The Bible says: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and the One who rescues me; My God, my rock and strength in whom I trust and take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower—my stronghold. [Heb 2:13]”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

It also says: “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We must choose today to lighten our loads to run our race and if we faint not, the Lord will be faithful to do all that He has promised:

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

““If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the best of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In conclusion, it is my prayer that we faint not but earnestly pray so that we may endure to the end:

“Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭7‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Invalid…The Man

A Leadership Insight from Vision Multiplier International https://visionmultiplierllc.com/

I was reflecting on these scriptures this morning with a grieving heart and the thought that, we the leaders, must be reminded and believe that when Jesus comes into our situation – things change.

We may be in a season of significant change or even loss; however, it is in these moments we must work harder to hold onto our faith foundation. – the answer still is Christ, and Christ alone!

“For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice to atone] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time.”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

OMG

What we do know in scripture is that Jesus has already made provision for us:

“Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬, ‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

““Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“The Lord is near to the heartbroken and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, truly sorry for their sin).

Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, But the Lord rescues him from them all.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭57‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Selah

As we work through the grieving process, we are reminded that the Word of god is true and ever present:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.””

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In conclusion, grief may not have an expiration date; however, whenever we are ready to let Christ into our circumstances, like the invalid, Christ just asks us if we want to get well:

When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to get well?”

And when the master speaks, let us rise and be made whole – like the man:

“Jesus said to him, “Get up; pick up your pallet and walk.” Immediately the man was healed and recovered his strength, and picked up his pallet and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath.”

‭‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Be Blessed!

Be a Blessing!

“In these porticoes lay a great number of people who were sick, blind, lame, withered, [waiting for the stirring of the water;

for an angel of the Lord went down into the pool at appointed seasons and stirred up the water; the first one to go in after the water was stirred was healed of his disease.]

There was a certain man there who had been ill for thirty-eight years.

When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to get well?”

The invalid answered, “Sir, I have no one to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am coming [to get into it myself], someone else steps down ahead of me.”

Jesus said to him, “Get up; pick up your pallet and walk.”

Immediately the man was healed and recovered his strength, and picked up his pallet and walked.

Now that day was the Sabbath.

So the Jews kept saying to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and you are not permitted to pick up your pallet [because it is unlawful].”

He answered them, “The Man who healed me and gave me back my strength was the

One who said to me, ‘Pick up your pallet and walk.’ ”

They asked him, “Who is the Man who told you, ‘Pick up your pallet and walk’?”

Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped away [unnoticed] since there was a crowd in that place.

Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.””
